What is it about?

This is one of a kind program that is unlike the other trekking tours. When the owner/guides started to develop this tour, they started with cleaning the mountain and fixing the routes on the mountain to make sure guests will not be injured. The beautiful part is that local people volunteered to help them, as local people climb the mountain as well. Their passion created an environment for not only letting everyone hike, but also it realized SDGs by involving locals, which is not an easy thing to realize. They are also giving back a certain % of sales to the local community.

・We donate 5 % of the tour fee for environment preservation activities. With the local community, this tour has an important role to maintain the area of Mt. Futaba.

<Overview>

A hiking tour through the crisp early morning air of Futaba Mountain, a forest of sacred trees rich in nature. Enjoy the Nodate, traditional outdoor tea ceremony with a guide on the mountaintops overlooking Hiroshima City and the Seto Inland Sea.
We hike through the tranquil forests of the Futaba Mountains. Admire the majestic and elegant architecture of Hiroshima Toshogu Shrine, and learn about the history of Hiroshima as the castle town from the Shinto priests. At the Kinko Inari Shrine, lined with more than 100 bright red torii gates, we will trek through the grounds as we visit its seven gods. The panoramic view from the top of the mountain offers a spectacular view of Hiroshima City, the Seto Inland Sea, and also Miyajima. Why don’t you enjoy a cup of matcha while enjoying the scenic view?
